He is survived by his wife, Paula Lawlor; son Michael Lawlor; granddaughter, Reagan Lawlor; and grandson, Jackson Lawlor.
His eldest son John Joseph Lawlor passed away in 2021, due to complications from a tragic motorcycle accident in 2010.
He was a loving husband and father who dedicated his life to his family and law enforcement. He proudly served 30 years in the NYPD before retiring and moving to Florida with his family.

A graveside service will occur Friday, November 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34232.
