Jordan was born in Lalkova, Bulgaria to Todor and Todora (nee Koleva) Georgiev on January 7, 1928. He had one sister, Stoiana, and one brother, Jelasko Angelov, both preceded him in death. After fleeing his homeland of Bulgaria when the communists came to power with his friend, Dimitar Terziev, he briefly resided in Germany and eventually came to the United States in 1957. He resided in Illinois until he moved to Florida, which he called paradise, in 1997 with his wife, Margareta. Jordan’s long-time friend Dimitar also followed him from Illinois to ‘paradise’ until he preceded him in death in July of 2020.
Jordan was married to Margareta Georgina nee Lengyel on June 24, 1967. They were married 38 years, before she passed away in 2005.
Jordan is survived by his daughters, Dorothy ‘Dory’ (Dan) Vargas, Katherine (Sasho) Aglikin, grandchildren, Alexandria, Jordan, Stefani, Alexander(Kimberly), great-grandson, Greyson, and one granddog, Koda. He loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent while together.
Jordan is also survived by many friends that were like family that he greatly respected and genuinely was grateful for not only their friendship but assistance they gave him so selflessly.
Jordan loved fishing, whether it be in Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, it was the one thing that he fully enjoyed. Jordan will be greatly missed.
