

Joseph Henry Jaudon, born on December 26, 1940, in Brunswick, Georgia, was the esteemed first child of the late Benjamin and Evelyn Glass Jaudon. As a young man maturing in Glynn County, Georgia, Joseph exhibited an exceptional level of determination and ambition. His educational journey commenced with his graduation from Risley High School in 1958, after which he embarked on a distinguished career with the United States Air Force. Enlisting in 1962, Joseph dedicated an impressive 38 years to military service. Concurrently, his unwavering commitment to service led him to explore roles within the City of Brunswick Police Department and later the United States Postal Service. Notably, he also undertook the role of Chairman of the Glynn County Water and Sewer Commission. Joseph's pursuit of knowledge and excellence was further underscored by his graduation from Brunswick College and his pursuit of legal studies at John Marshall Law School.
Joseph was a distinguished member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., a Prince Hall 32nd Degree Mason, and an active participant in Just About Friends Men Social Club (JAF) - at which he served as a Charter Member and past President. His commitment to personal growth and community impact was unwavering, evident in his successful completion of the Georgia Realtors Institute program, which culminated in the attainment of his Georgia Real Estate Broker's License. From 1980 to 2000, he demonstrated entrepreneurial acumen by owning and operating "Joe Jaudon and Associates Real Estate Company" and "The Wash House Coin Laundry" in Brunswick, Georgia. Subsequently, in 2001 Joseph relocated to Florida, where he pursued horticultural studies at the University of Florida, earning the prestigious title of Florida Master Gardener. While in Florida, Joe supported his community by fulfilling the role of Supervisor of the Heritage Harbour Community Development District (CDD) from 2010 through 2014.
Joseph (Joe) Henry Jaudon peacefully departed on September 16, 2023. He leaves behind cherished memories and is mourned by his devoted wife, Margie Jaudon of Bradenton, along with their four loving sons: Joseph Jaudon, Jr. of Brunswick; Jeffrey Jaudon of McDonough, Georgia; Gregory Philson of Brunswick, Georgia; and James Hayes (Glenda) of McDonough, Georgia. Surviving him are his two sisters, Patricia Bacote and Fredessa Jaudon and his brother, Robert Jaudon (Rhonda). Joe also leaves to mourn seven beloved grandchildren (Amanda, Alexandria, Kaylin, Jerrod, Jamilla, Kyosha, Jaloni), eight great-children, numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of cherished family members and friends.
Joseph Henry Jaudon will forever be remembered for his unwavering dedication, outstanding service, and deep commitment to his family, community, and country. His legacy shall endure in the hearts and minds of all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

A reception will occur Monday, September 25, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
