Josephine leaves behind her two children, Art Chiodo and Maria Wesenberg; three grandchildren, Christopher Chiodo, Daniel Chiodo and Patricia Chiodo Davis; six great grandchildren, Samantha, Devon, Michael, Emily, Jordyn and Tyler and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Buffalo, NY, she was a first generation Italian American. She was very proud of her heritage.
Josephine retired from the Buffalo, NY school system and moved to Sarasota with her husband in the mid 1970's to be closer to their grandchildren. She was always totally devoted to her family.
Josephine loved music. She had a wonderful voice and as a young woman she successfully competed in many local talent shows. That love for music, as well as a strong Christian faith and solid family values,
was passed on to her family.
She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 pm, on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232. A graveside service for Josephine will begin at 3 pm on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Sarasota Memorial Park, 5833 S. Tamiami Trl., Sarasota, FL 34231.
