Kerry Groom Kirschner (12/4/1946 - 3/4/2020) lived a magical life. It began and concluded being surrounded by a large and extended family. He is survived by his wife, LuAnne, children from his first marriage to Jane Staudt: Sean, Kent, Kelly and Katie Haas; and thirteen grandchildren. In addition to a legacy of elected service to his community of Sarasota (City Commissioner and Mayor 1985-1991), he was actively engaged as a board member of many organizations and the longtime President of the Argus Foundation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tidewell Hospice and Coastal Behavioral Healthcare.
