I am sorry to hear of Paul's passing, he was surely one of a kind. We shared many a lunch together and his insightful intelligence was treasured by me. We shared a passion for the Roman Catholic Church and John Carroll University. Paul's impeccable wardrobe was appreciated every time that he walked into the restaurant. He gave me one of his ties when I complimented him on it and I will continue to treasure wearing it! I was lucky to have a close relationship with such a wonderful man.

Please forgive my timing, 

I had the pleasure of being opposing counsel to Paul in  what I believe was his last civil trial before moving to Florida. While his client drove me crazy, Paul was a gentleman throughout. I was fortunate enough to speak with him by phone about his retirement and had hoped to converse with him more. He was, in many ways, a storybook lawyer: active, interested, knowledgeable, and kind.  Were there more like him!

Paul was a class act.  He was the best dressed fellow in Lake County, OH. He had old school, gracious manners.  We shared non-fiction titles, and he always stopped in to give me the food section of The NY Times. Conversation and book discussions with him were always interesting and thought-provoking.  I was sorry to see him retire to Florida, and I’m sorry to hear this news. It was a life well lived.

I first met Mr. Hentemann when I was a young prosecutor in the early 1990s. I had many cases with him over the years, through his recent retirement. Two things stand out as constants over the past 30 years: 1) He was always a true professional and a gentleman, and
2) He was always the best dressed in the courtroom (in a classy, unpretentious way)!
Paul Hentemann was truly one of a kind, and will be missed!

I am Very sorry. Paul, Bill Garguilo, Jim Stoneman and I shared a Law Office  for several years. We continued legal association until he retired.  It was my privilege to practice law with Paul who was a brilliant Attorney.  His legal and philosophical knowledge was vast. His sense of humor was priceless.

I had the pleasure of practicing law at the same time that Paul roamed the halls of the Lake and Geauga County court Houses. Paul was a consummate lawyer, always very professional and enjoyable to deal with. My sincere condolences to his family.

Paul was a good neighbor on Cherry Hill Drive, an excellent and colorful lawyer, a true gentleman and fine person.
He will be missed.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  I worked for 30 years with your Father/Grandfather and I enjoyed every minute.  He and Rose were at my wedding.  I worked at Willoughby Court and saw him basically on a weekly with his clients.  He was a good lawyer and a joy to talk with.  The only comfort in his passing is that he is with his beautiful Rose once again.  He was one of a kind my heart is so heavy with this sad news. May he rest in peace.
