You have been in our thoughts every day since you left, but especially today because it's your birthday! We wish we could have taken you out for a huge steak tonight, but you're celebrating with Jesus and Granny & Papa. Lucky you. Jennifer is sure Granny baked you a cake today.  Charlie has kept his promise to look after Peggy and the kids. Everyone misses you, of course, and always will! Peggy started her new job yesterday. The coworkers and patrons are going to love her there because she's such a kind and sweet person and a hard worker. Charlie is sad about the Seminoles losing to Oregon. If you had been watching it with him, they just might have won! Ha-Ha... Oh well, just wanted to wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY with love from us brother!

You were a great man, Pete. You leave behind a lot more than memories.  Your honesty, integrity and kindness can be seen in all your kids.  Your legacy will live on.  You were truly a man with a heart as big as Texas!

Al and I are writing this and thinking of you and Pete at this very time you are having the memorial for this quiet, sweet, lovable man. I know he is with all of you at this time. I believe that with my very being.

I love you pops. I miss you, but I know you are in a better place. Can you please help my daddy, my aunt toni, uncle lee, uncle justin, uncle John and Aunt jennifer to fight through this pain. Oh and to watch over my grandma peggy.

My heart is broken. I miss you every second.. You were an amazing husband and  father. I never really understood what a gentleman was until you came along. You taught our boys how to be gentleman and have respect.you were such an amazing dad to our girls. We were all so blessed to have you. Until we are together again.

My heart is breaking in a million pieces since God called you Home. I cry for those of us that you left behind to miss you, but thankful that your suffering is over. My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found in 1 Thessalonians 4 : 14 can bring you some comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Gone to soon but will never be forgotten, Pete I loved you like a brother, we shared many a story about our Seminoles and Dale Jr. I would liked to have had another 20 years to be with you but thats not to be, so I promised you I would look after your family and I will. I have already had my uncle talk with the boy's and they know that if they ever forget what to do all they need is to remember your words of wisdom and follow it or their uncle will gently remind them. Will miss you forever and never forget you.

When someone close is taken away suddenly the pain seems more than we can bear. Our memories grow more precious and they live in our hearts forever. Sorry for your loss.
