Phillip Marshall Roseberry

Phillip Marshall Roseberry, age 88 of Sarasota, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016. He was born April 3, 1928 in Anderson, Indiana to Samuel and Leila Roseberry. Phil worked as an accountant for Delco Remy in California, as a comptroller for Anaconda Wire & Cable Company in Marion, Indiana, and as a Chief Financial Officer for Nationwide Management Services. He attended Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota, and was a member of the Indiana Freemasons and the Sarasota Rotary Gateway. He also was past President of the School Board for Marion Community Schools. Phil had a passion for genealogy and traveling and spent many hours volunteering for the Asolo Theatre Guild, Friends of the Artist, and reading to the kindergarten children of Golfgate Schools. However, Phil will be most remembered for his sense of humor, positive attitude, and his ability to show love and appreciation to those he cared for. Phil was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 50 years, Carol Louise Pettersen. He is survived by his children, Nancy (Mike) Beausir, and Tom Roseberry; his grandchildren, Allyse and Jake; his life partner, Jennifer Meinert; and his sister, Anita Seulean. A memorial service for Phil will be on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 2pm at Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota; 3975 Fruitville Rd in Sarasota.
