Regina "Reggie" Zimmerman (Rein), 92, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024 in Sarasota, Florida, with family by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Reggie grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where she met the love of her life, Ron Zimmerman while they were students at James Madison High School. They were married on April 12, 1953 after Ron's two years of service in the army during the Korean War. They remained devoted to each other throughout their 65 years of marriage until Ron's death in August of 2018.
Reggie was beloved by her family and many longtime friends and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her four children, Patti Hauser, Debbie Kotloff (Rob), Caryn Zoffer (Bill) and Mark (Laurie), 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
A graveside service for Regina will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
