2024 at the age of 95. Rita is survived by her devoted daughters and sons-in-law Sandy and
Howard Schapiro, and Helene Freiman and Gordon Berne. She is also survived by her loving
grandchildren Mike Schapiro, Ben Schapiro (Valentina), Ian Carlisle (Eimile), Leah Carlisle, and
Jared Carlisle and her great grandson Jacob Schapiro. She was blessed with many loving friends
and cousins, Brother-in-law (Sonny Freiman) and sisters-in-law (Rhona Freiman and Phyllis
Freiman). She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joe Freiman and her parents, Isadore
and Edith Kaplan. Donations in her memory can be made to Temple Emanuel
