Born December 6, 1929 in Wilbur, Nebraska died peacefully at home in Sarasota, Fl. August 28, 2024
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Helen Mika Apfelbeck, his brother William Jay Apfelbeck and his son Robert Stanley Jr Apfelbeck.
He is survived by his sister Marilyn Apfelbeck Minter along with several other family members. His loving partner Patricia James and her family Rick and Stephanie James.
Bob was a Navy Veteran, who’s travels took him from Key West, Fl. to Tampa, Fl. Bob was a well known Key Board Musician who taught 30 years in the Hillsborough County School system. He brought a lot of love and happiness with his various sized bands to many local affairs, including his signature band “ Bob and the Mellotones” over the years.
A private service will take place at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park in Sarasota, Fl.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
