

It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert John Milanese, age 81. Robert passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his family at his home in Sarasota Florida at the time of his passing.
Robert was born May 13, 1943 in Bronx, New York. He spent most of his life living in NY and after retiring moved to Florida with his family. Robert had a 35 year career working in banking and was a member of the Lions Association of Armonk for many years as well as serving as President.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathleen Milanese; his daughter, Cynthia Milanese-Gonzalez (David); and his son Douglas Milanese. Robert was predeceased by his parents Matthew Milanese and Rita Gizzi.
Bob, as he was known to his family and friends, lived a life full of love, dedication and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
He was a devoted husband, cherished father and trusted friend. He loved the Rolling Stones and loved to sing. He was a huge fan and collector of Steven King novels. He also loved a good martini and the writings of Edgar Allen Poe. His charisma was always present, he had a wicked sense of humor and he represented strength, kindness and wisdom.
He will be forever missed.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:30 AM. Friends and Family may gather starting at 11:00 AM. at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave. Sarasota.
