Robert "Bob" Weigert

Robert attended Stamford High School followed by Wright Technology School for Culinary Arts. He was an Army veteran. Robert was a Distinguished Financial Advisor for Prudential Life Insurance Company for over 55 years. He was a member of the President's Counsel at Prudential, CLU, and CHFC.

Robert loved cooking, playing games, but most important, he loved his dogs and was an avid animal lover. His weekly enjoyment was serving as the Chazzan at Chabad of Lakewood Ranch.

Robert will always be remembered as a true friend; one who was always there to listen, support, and lend a hand to the people in his life. He deeply cared about the people surrounding him, be it family or his many friends. He always had a smile on his face, was always kind, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was a true mensch.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Avraham and Malka Weigert. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Weigert; his children, Wendy Weigert and Bernice Cohen (Eddie), and stepson Kenneth Gaydos; grandchildren Reyna Mamann (Eli), Isaac Cohen, Coby Cohen (Enya), Tali Cohen, Keira Penn, Ava Penn, Ezra Penn, and Maya Penn; great grandchild Maya Mamann; brothers David Weigert, Dennis Frank (Karen); and sisters Barbara Gordon, and Liz Bicking.

A graveside service for Robert will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Temple Beth Shalom Cemetery, 801 Circus Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34232.
