Song of Solomon 3:4
Our precious mother’s steadfast faith became sight when Jesus welcomed her home on September 20th, 2019. Her first love was following the Lord and we are so happy that she now enjoys His presence.
Sandra (more fondly known as Sandee) was born in Francesville, Indiana on November 3rd, 1946 – the third born child to Eugene & Mildred Huber. Sandee was raised in Medaryville and became lovingly esteemed by her other siblings as their “Second Mother,” “Big Sis,” and “Sista.” She loved her siblings and the time spent around their family table was one of the memories she treasured most.
At the age of 13, the Lord gave her a heart to know Him and she asked Him to be her Savior and lifelong Guide. In the summer of 1959, she was baptized and joined the membership of the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville where Sandee loved the close-knit church family and could be found serving wherever it was needed.
Sandee finished high school and started working for Dr. Bishop, the local optometrist in Winamac. This became the beginning of her lifelong love of caring for optical patients.
In the winter of 1968, she met the man that God had ordained for her – Glenn E. Price, Jr. of Milford. After much prayer, their Sweet Love Story would begin on Sunday, February 22, 1970.
Believing that it was the Lord’s will, in the summer of 1975, Sandee & Glenn moved to Sarasota, Florida where she enjoyed helping Glenn in both his professional career and his ministry in the Apostolic Christian Church.
Sandee was passionate about her family. She was also a true example of a woman whose heart fully trusted in her Savior. She was loved by so many for her gentle spirit, her gift of hospitality and her words of wisdom.
Following her husband’s death in the summer of 2010, Sandee returned to her love of optometry as an optician in Sarasota and was energized by each patient she encountered.
Sandee was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 40 years, Glenn E. Price, Jr. of Sarasota, FL and is survived by their three grateful children, Krista Marie Wallace (Jesse) of Athens, TN, Kristine Lynn Krieger (Kevin) and Kelly Kaye Hebert (Todd), both of Sarasota, FL, along with 10 grandchildren: Todd Hebert, Jr., April Wallace, Stacie Campbell, Cindy Wallace, Zacchaeus Krieger, Johnathon Campbell, Stefanie Hebert, Levi Krieger, Grace Wallace
& Travis Hebert.
Sandee was also preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Mildred Huber of Francesville, IN and is survived by her six siblings: Gene Huber (Barbara) of Winamac, IN, Rodric Huber (Mary) of Valparaiso, IN, Chris Huber (Sharon) of Francesville, IN, Peggy Huber of Kouts, IN, John Huber (Beverly) of Montezuma, IN & Wanda Hoerr (Jacob) of Phoenix, AZ.
Sandee’s visitation and funeral will held on Monday, September 23rd at the Apostolic Christian Church, 333 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL. Visitation will begin at 9:00am and Services will begin at 10:00am. Interment Service will be held directly after at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL. A Fellowship Luncheon, to which everyone will be welcome, will be served back at the church following both services. Funeral services will be conducted by the ministers of the Apostolic Christian Church and all funeral arrangements will be conducted by Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, Sandee has requested that memorial contributions be made to the local Sarasota Apostolic Christian Church Goodwill Fund.
