Sheila Elizabeth Jackson, age 85, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Sheila was born June 22, 1937 in Bathgate, Scotland, United Kingdom to the late James and Elizabeth Munro.
She is survived by her husband, James Jackson, of 60 years; three children, Mary Jackson Fullgrapp (Roy), John Jackson (Melissa), and Kathy Wilson Cohen; six grandchildren, Jamie, Steven, Scott, Sarah, Jessica and Faith; one brother Hamish Munro; and her sister Isobel Lindsay.
Sheila is preceded in death by her son-in-law Lionel Cohen; her brother Alister Munro; and her sister Netta Fulton.
Sheila established, owned and operated Scots Corner for 37 years. She co-founded the Scottish Heritage Society of Sarasota. Sheila will be greatly missed for her generous spirit and service to the Scottish community.
A gathering of family & friends for Sheila will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232, followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM.
