Dad was a hard-working, self employed, dedicated Drywall Contractor for over 40 yrs. Last working up to the age of 84. “Retired” was not in his vocabulary. He also worked for Community Service Systems from 1975-1982. Sol sold Bibles to newlyweds and Baby Plates to new parents throughout the state of Illinois. Dad loved his Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and his relatives and friends. He loved to visit friends and family all across the USA. He never knew a stranger. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family, friends, and the many passions he had in life. Dad’s hobbies and interests helped define who he was. His love for baseball being one of them (#1 St. Louis Cardinal fan) is why the great-grands called him “ grandpa baseball”. That love has left a mark on all of us and will never fade. Dad so deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored with recalling the scripture,
I Corinthians 13:4-13 summed up in 3 words-Love Never Fails. Dad also enjoyed traveling with mom. They went to The Holy Lands, Singapore and many other places around the globe. They were involved with Jordan Prison ministry in Sarasota,FL for many years.
