

Thelma was born on September 13, 1936 in Creamery, PA to Ida Celeste (Hough) and Frank Norman Jamison. She was one of four siblings. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Jamison of Norwalk, NY.
Thelma graduated from Collegeville-Trappe High School, and earned her nursing degree from Reading Hospital School of Nursing. After being a registered nurse for many years, Thelma returned to school at Temple University, and earned her D.O. from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, becoming a family practice doctor at age 49 and a source of proud inspiration to her daughters.
In addition to her focus on medical caregiving, Thelma shared a lifelong love of gardening and music.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Valerie Detweiler of Key West, FL, and Diane Friel of Perkasie, PA; son-in-law Christopher Cooper of Key West, FL, son-in-law Kerry Friel of Perkasie, PA; grandsons Harrison, Liam and Rory Friel of Perkasie, PA; and her siblings Shirley (Jamison) Delp of New Berlin, WI and Raymond Jamison of Phoenixville, PA.
Thelma will be interred at the Wellspring Church of Skippack Cemetery in Skippack, PA.
