Theodore Walter Moran, also known as "Ted or Teddy" to all those who loved him, has moved on to the better world. Born on December 31, 1932, he was 87 years young. He was born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in Yorkville, Manhattan, New York.
Although Ted grew up in a railroad flat as a poor boy, his life amounted to one of the wealthiest. Ted's 87 years was full of life's greatest riches.
Ted married his childhood sweetheart, Dorothy Weber, on November 29, 1951. Together, they built a beautiful family of six. His surviving children, Denise, Ted, Robert and Jean can attest to the life and love Ted and Dottie had throughout their 62 years of marriage. Ted also left behind eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, who will all miss him dearly.
After Dorothy passed in 2013, Ted's riches continued when he found a new life partner. Vicki Wilcox became his new love, and his new wife. Although their time as husband and wife was short, their love ran deep. As Ted's surviving wife, Vicki will miss Ted beyond measure.
Other important moments in Ted's life were serving as a Corporal in the Marines, retiring as a Local Five boil maker, and a long time Knights of Columbus member and 'Man of the Year' for Florida's Meal on Wheels; Ted's riches were huge. He had a way of turning a perfect stranger into a friend; And boy did he love all his friends, his neighbors, his church congregation and his new family.
Ted loved to laugh, tell stories, tell jokes and have a good scotch worthy of his taste buds. But most of all, he loved his wife and family.
So, you see, Ted Moran was the wealthiest of men. One we all aspire to be. We will miss him more than words can say.
