Born on September 25, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, Thomas was the son of the late Joseph and Barbara Lojik Pilar. He graduated from Patterson High School and went on to serve honorably as a military police officer in the United States Armed Forces. Mr. Pilar was also an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Pilar, and his brother, Joseph Pilar.
He is survived by his son, Rob Pilar, and his wife, Sue and his daughter, Sharon Pilar.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen, and no services are planned at this time.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park.
