SUSAN A. LOOMIS "MARSHMALLOW" GARY, IN Susan A. Loomis "Marshmallow", age 61, of Gary, passed away peacefully May 7, 2014 at Gary Methodist Hospital. Susan was born on February 4, 1953 to William and the late Betty Jean Stone, her father survives. Also surviving are her children Anastasia and Fred (Margaret) Loomis, grandchildren Symone Hayes, Russell Loomis, Osiris Finch, Briana Loomis, and Elijah Clarkson,and her sister Linda Pennington. She was preceded in death by her daughter Amanda Loomis, son Jonathan Loomis, and a brother William L. Stone. "Marshmallow" was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for troop #379 in the Drifting Dunes Council for twenty years, where she was affectionately received the name "Marshmallow". She was an avid outdoorswoman, enjoying camping and fishing. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Memorial services will be Monday, May 12, 2014 at 5:00 pm with visitation from 4 pm until 5 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. (8178 South Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375).
