Avis Arlene Ruby, 87, went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2016 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s and Multiple Sclerosis. Avis was a dedicated, caring registered nurse for over 30 years. She was Director of Nursing at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix and a nursing administrator at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. She will be remembered as a servant of the Lord, a loving wife and a devoted and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Avis was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bill. She is survived by her three children, Wayne (Linda), Scott (Vicki) and Beth Glady (Ed): six wonderful grandchildren, Mark (Samantha), Courtney Granneman (Ryan), Morgan (Kira), Sarah Glady, Molly Muirhead (Bryan) and Heather Glady; and two great grandchildren Hudson and Evan. A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2016 at Green Acres Chapel, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers please donate to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
