69, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2013 in Tempe, AZ. Barb was born to the late Peter and Margaret (Tomassi) Sturla in Erie, PA on April 1, 1944 and moved to Scottsdale in 1960. She was in the first graduating class of Coronado High. Barbara was active at church in many volunteer opportunities. She enjoyed tending her garden and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who have been blessed by knowing her. Barb is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Cassatt of 48 years; her sister Patricia McLaughlin and brother Eugene Sturla (Marsha); her children Cheri Kastern (Walter), Todd Cassatt (Valerie) and Timothy Cassatt; grandsons Jacob, Ethan and Thomas. Viewing will be at Vineyard Community Church, 601 S Cooper Rd in Gilbert at 11am Thurs, September 26th followed by services at noon. Burial will be private on Friday at Green Acres Cemetery.
