Cathy J. Lahti of Mesa, Arizona passed to her eternal rest on Tuesday, June 2nd of complications due to lung cancer. Cathy was born in Durango, Colorado and was raised in New Mexico. She came to Arizona in 1967 to study at Arizona State, where she met the love of her life and her husband of 43 years, Chet Lahti. Cathy worked at PBS Eight for 15 years, retiring in 2012. Her favorite responsibility at Eight was as an on-air talent for their semi-annual pledge drives. Cathy is survived by her husband Chet, her sister Janet Humphrey, her daughter Jill Smith (Ben), her son Chris, and three grandchildren, Chloe, Cadence and Brody. Memorial Service will be held at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, Wednesday, June 10th at 9:30 AM for friends and family.
