In Loving Memory of Charles Lamar Green, Sr.
Charles Lamar Green, Sr. was a devoted father, loving brother and husband, cherished son, proud Marine, and loyal friend whose presence brought strength and love to everyone around him. He lived life with passion — for his family and for the things that made him happiest: cars, weightlifting, and sports.
A Marine through and through, he carried the Corps’ values of honor, courage, and commitment long after his service ended. “Marines don’t know how to quit” was more than a saying to him — it was the way he lived every day.
He often said that his children “saved his life,” and there was never any doubt how deeply he loved his family. His greatest pride and joy were his children: Loren, Charles Jr., Tayanna, Raven, Keishaun, Deandre, Ashley, Marcus, Anthony, DJ, Denzel, and Karissa. He adored his grandchildren — Kesean, Audrey, Ozias, Danae, Lyric, Zoe, Riegann, Ariyah, Hasani, Malachi, Taylon, August, Zariya, Raymond and Demarius — who each brought endless light to his days.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Willie Robinson, and two brothers, Russell and Franklin, whose memories he carried with him always. He is survived by his loving mother, Shirley Robinson; his sisters, Ramona, Willie Dawn, and Tracy; his wife, Kristina; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though he was taken from us too soon, Charles lived every moment with purpose, laughter, and love. His strength, wisdom, and heart will forever remain in those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know him.
Forever in our hearts — a leader, a fighter, and a man who loved deeply.
