Charles Dick Richard Verbarg

Charles R. "Dick" Verbarg, 74, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Dear Dad of Aaron (Melanie) Verbarg; dear Grandpa of Elle, Joshua, Luke and Jackson Verbarg; dear brother of Beverly (late Ralph) Abel and Robert (Francine) Verbarg; and survived by former wife Jean Verbarg. Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend of many. A native of San Francisco, California, and a graduate of Lincoln High School, Dick attended Biola University in Orange, California, and was an Army Veteran serving in Europe. He retired from the Huntington Hotel (San Francisco) as a Doorman. Dick's faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was important to him and he attended church in San Francisco and in Phoenix, Arizona at the North Mountain Church and Open Door Fellowship, and was an active member in morning Bible study groups. He will be missed by his McDonald's coffee group. Visitation 9:00 AM Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257, where services will be held at 10:00 AM. Interment will be privately held.
