Age 78, Charlotte was born July 10th 1935 to parents Paul and Charlotte Douglas of Wichita Kansas. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Jarry of Tempe, son Stephen of Gilbert, son Scott of Mesa, grandson Kyle of Mesa, granddaughter Valerie of Larkspur California, sister Barbara Overstake of Wichita Kansas, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister Francis Parsons of Genoa Illinois.
Charlotte graduated with a science degee from the University of Arizona and a Masters degree in education from Arizona State University. She taught high school chemistry and biology in Scottsdale. She also operated an upholstery business in Tempe for a number of years while her boys were growing up. Always active, Charlotte spent many many hours volunteering at Banner Desert Hospital and the Tempe Police Department. Addionally she participated and served in various capacities in two Tempe Ladies Golf groups.
Services for Charlotte will be held at Green Acres Mortuary, Friday May 30th at 9:30 AM, 401 N. Hayden Road, in Scottsdale. There will be a reception at the funeral home immediately following the service and interment.
