He was born into this world on December 18th 1982 at 12:21pm in Scottsdale, Arizona as his mothers first and only son. He grew up in Ahwatukee, Arizona attending Colina Elementary and Centennial Middle Schools. He graduated from Mountain Pointe High school in 2001 and went on to attend Arizona State University and Oklahoma State University becoming a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
David spent his growing up years wakeboarding on the lake with his family and friends and many winters snowboarding in the Northern Arizona Mountains.
He had a passion for construction and technology and was a master at all things computer and electronics. He was a born natural at construction and picked up the trade with ease excelling at many different aspects of industry. After many years learning the trade, he realized that being a handyman was his calling. And boy was he passionate about it. Mostly because of the people he would meet along the way and friendships that would almost always develop as a result. But more than that, he loved helping people.
David was a people person and wore his heart on his sleeve. He was a good friend and an honest person to everyone who knew him. The majority of his struggles were a result of just how kind he was. He loved everyone he knew and wanted nothing but the best for each and every person in his life.
He was known for his beautiful bright blue iridescent eyes, his witty humor, and that signature curl to one side of his infectious smile.
David is survived by his loving parents, Sal & Diane Durso, and his only sister, Lizzy Durso.
He is also survived by his maternal Grandparents, Larry & Ann Cooper(age 90) and many aunts and uncles: Debbie (George) Weaver, Tommy Cooper, Cara Cooper, Carole (Forest) Larue, Cathy (Steve) Howerton, and Andrea (Johnny) Riddle.
David is also survived by many loving cousins whom we wish to acknowledge: Brian, Suanne, Andie, Victoria, Alex, Olivia, Laura, Lance, Jessie, Seth, and Will. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Peter and Doris Durso.
Family, friends, and others who’s lives David touched are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, March 21st at 1pm at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery located at 401 N. Hayden Road.
Immediately following the service, there will be a “celebration of life” at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park on Scottsdale Road and Indian Bend. The Durso family would be honored for you to join us in remembering such a beautiful soul and the kindest heart we have ever known.
Rest In Peace Dave. We love and miss you so much.
