

passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of family on February 28, 2012 in Chandler, Arizona. She was 76 years old. Dotty was born to Ruth and Arthur Stroy December 3, 1935 in Stromsburg, Nebraska. She spent most of her youth in Bridgeport, NE and attended Nebraska Wesleyan College in Lincoln. She graduated and received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and completed her training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Following her time in the cold Minnesota climate, she fled to sunny Arizona where she met her husband of 50 years, Robert Boyle. Dotty continued working as a physical therapist for Desert Samaritan and later Good Samaritan Hospitals for 25 years. Together, Dotty and Bob had three children and four grandchildren. In retirement, they traveled a great deal and found paradise on the West Fork of the Dolores River in beautiful southwestern Colorado. Dotty is survived by her husband Bob, sons Mark (Ruth) and Kevin, daughter Susan (Patrick), grandchildren Nate, Emma, Lauren and Lindsay, sister Ruth Ann and countless friends who loved her so. A celebration of Dotty’s life will be held on Friday March 9th at 2:00 p.m. at Dayspring United Methodist Church in Tempe, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dotty’s name to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
