Dru Paine
Dru Paine, 86, of Mesa, Arizona, returned peacefully to her heavenly home on October 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina, to Arthur Lee and Marguerite Daney, and was raised in Tucson, Arizona, where she proudly served as a member of the National Honor Society and graduated from Catalina High School, Class of 1957.
Dru was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She took great pride in her family and especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her lifelong love for music shone brightly through her years singing with the Leisure World Barbershop Belles, where her joyful spirit brought harmony to all around her. She was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation Native American Tribe and found joy in sharing her heritage and traditions with others.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Doty, her brother, Donald Daney, and her beloved Alex Lombardi and James A. Paine.
She is survived by her former husband, Raymond J. Stawicki, her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Leesa Stawicki, and her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Lyman Anderson. She was a beloved grandmother to Bridget Burress, Calliandra Rasmussen, and Nicholas Anderson, and a proud great-grandmother to Brinkley Burress, Ally Burress, and Jovie Rasmussen.
