

85 of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on February 22, 2012. He was a veteran of WWII in the United States Army. . Preceded in death by his loving wife Eleanor Snow. He was born to William Lane and Edna (Russell) Snow on August 30, 1926 on a farm near Assumption, IL. He attended schools in Assumption, then entered the Army and served in the Pacific on the Mariana Islands of Saipan and Taiwan. He attended Bradley University after his Military Service. Edward and Eleanor (Abraham) were married on February 23, 1952. Edward worked at A.E.Staley’s, and Caterpillar, before being employed at the University of Illinois, where he was employed for twenty-nine years and retired in 1987. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, March 1, 2012 in Green Acres Mortuary. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am, Friday, March 2, 2012 in Green Acres Chapel of Light, 401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Edward was proceeded in death by his Wife of 47 years, and survived by his three children, Thomas Snow (Urbana, IL), Terry Snow (Scottsdale, AZ), and Jill Gray (Algonquin, IL), two Granddaughters, two Grandsons, and one Great Grandson, Erin Schmelzer (Huntley, IL), Katy Schmelzer (Algonquin, IL), Alex and Kyle Gray (Salem, WI), one Great-Grandson, Carter.
