Orr, Esther Irene (McConnell), 97, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on June 3, 2017. She was born in Sharpsville, PA to Harry and Pearl McConnell on February 15, 1920. Esther graduated from Slippery Rock State Teachers College with a BS in Education. She was married to Chester Arthur Orr on October 11, 1947. Esther was a teacher at Creighton Elementary School for 25 years. She enjoyed spending her summers at her cabin in Prescott. She was a descendant of Hugh McConnell from Ireland who was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. She is survived by her son Keith James (Mary) and daughter Barbara Ann, grandson Dr. Gregory (Michele) Colores, great grandchildren Zachary, Ryan and Isabella, nieces Jean (Dennis) Kanouff, Jane (Rick) Irvine, Janice Davis, Sybil Nemeth, Kathryn (Scott) Venema and nephew James Orr. Esther was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Memorial service and reception will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd.
