
James Hannon, age 78, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away at home on Saturday, October 15, 2022. He was born on September 19, 1944, in Douglas, Arizona as a third generation Arizonan. James' grandfather came to Douglas to work on the smelters for the mine. He moved to Phoenix as a small child and after graduating from West High, he completed his bachelor's degree at Arizona State University. He had a long career working for the AZ Department of Economics starting as a social service worker and ending as a self-taught computer programmer for the Arizona Food Bank Network. He was the most honest person you could ever meet and proclaimed himself to be his wife's entertainment director. James was a well-read homebody that loved all things involving technology and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rose Howe, his daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Ivan Torres, two precious grandchildren, Ivy Monet and Eli James, and many friends.
A celebration of life will take place after the holidays. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in James' name to the Arizona Food Bank Network. Interment will be at Green Acres Cemetery on October 25 at 10:00 am.
