John David Hetherington

Jack was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 14, 1939. He grew up in Chatham, NJ. He graduated from Indiana University. Jack served in the U.S. Army in the early 1960’s . He met his wife, Janet when they worked together at Colgate Palmolive in New York. They wed in 1966, and soon there after, he began working in Advertising. Jack worked at different ad agencies in New York, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

During a life well lived, Jack travelled to many countries for business and pleasure. He rafted the head waters of the Yangtze River from Tibet to China, the Bio- Bio in Chile, the Green and Colorado Rivers in the United States. He enjoyed scuba diving, sky diviing, and motor cycling. However, Golf was his passion. Jack golfed at home and abroad. He enjoyed several trips to Scotland golfing with his friends and with his father and family on trips to Florida.

Jack is survived by his wife, Janet ;their daughter Carrie (Alan) Lockcuff; their grandsons Gavin and Donaven Lockcuff; his brother, Robert A. ( Doris) Hetherington; niece Jennifer Early; nephews Robert B, Hetherington and William F. (Jaime) Hetherington; and Janet’s nephew’s Daniel and Patrick Donovan and niece Elizabeth Sappington.

Jack’s family and friends will celebrate his life recalling all the happy times they all shared.
