Judy was born February 4, 1944, in Portland, Oregon, to Lindell and Katherine Edmonds. At the age of 8, Judy’s parents made the move to Phoenix, Arizona, to accept the pastorate of Fellowship Tabernacle, later known as Bible Fellowship Church.
In 1966, Judy graduated from Southern California College with a teaching degree; however, moved shortly after graduation to Hawaii for a year to become a college youth missionary.
Judy married Earl Lee Clements on Nov 7, 1969. The two shared 56 years of an amazing and inspiring love for each other that only two true soulmates can share. They were blessed with two children: Misti and Scott.
Upon her return to Arizona, she continued her youth ministry at Bible Fellowship Church for several years, until she soon discovered her life’s work in long-term care. The healthcare field then became her mission field, where she served as Administrator for several long-term care facilities, including Bryans Extended Care Center, Vice President at John C. Lincoln Hospital, as well as Executive Director for several Assisted Living Facilities. She was known as a powerhouse in her field and had the respect of everyone who had the opportunity to work with her. She devoted over 30 years to the healthcare field before retiring. Judy was known for her unwavering faith in God, her kindness and generosity, her giving spirit, and most of all her laugh and sense of humor.
Before her health issues arose, she enjoyed fishing, reading, playing Yahtzee, and shopping online. In her retirement years, she enjoyed her Wednesday morning ladies' Bible Study, visiting the beauty salon and the nail salon, where she made lifelong friends, showed off her newest pair of shoes, and spent precious time with her family and grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her husband, Earl Clements; her children, Misti Bell and her husband Michael; Scott Clements; her 4 grandchildren, Spencer and his fiancée Meghan, Hunter, and his wife Arela, Rain Colon and husband Devon, and Samuel Clements and his wife Jadyn; her nieces and nephews, and many family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Lindell, her mother, Katherine, and her brother, Lindell Jr.
Judy will be remembered primarily for her sense of humor and fiery spirit, but above all, for her service to others. She truly touched every life she came across. Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandma, and Friend
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 16, at 10:30am at Church for the Nations Church located at 6225 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012
