

Ken retired as Director, Training Simulations Services, from Lockheed Martin Corporation located at Williams Airforce Base, Mesa, and Tempe, Arizona. He earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Oregon State University and attended graduate school in Nuclear Physics at the University of Idaho. His career started as an engineer at Phillips Petroleum’s Atomic Energy Division, and he held engineering and management positions with General Dynamics, McDonnell Douglas, General Electric, Martin Marietta, and Lockheed Martin.
Ken is predeceased by his brother, Larry Gilbert; father, Clifford Gilbert; and mother, Marion (Jean) Gilbert. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, and children Lori Raffa, Florida; Natalie Gilbert, Maryland; Michael Gilbert, North Carolina; Jess Sherman, Hawaii; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Cathryn Strosheim, Oregon; nephew, David Gilbert, Nevada; and niece, Suzanne Roberts, Oregon. His furry children include Jackson Gilbert, Arizona, and Tinker Gilbert, Arizona, who were the loves of his life.
