Lance passed away peacefully in his home in Scottsdale, AZ in the early hours of Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was 43 years young. Born on April 24, 1978 in the suburbs of Seattle, WA, he graduated from Woodinville High School, class of 1996, and attended Eastern Washington University, earning his BA in General Business, graduating in 2000. Lance fell in love with and moved to Scottsdale, AZ soon after his graduation, where he lived for 20 years before his passing. He met and fell in love with his wife Jill in 2015, marrying her on February 28, 2020. He built an amazing home inspection business- Eagle Eye Property Inspections, which he managed fully until his final days.
Lance is survived by his wife Jill, their puppies Snoop & Scout, his parents Dave, Debbie, and Gene; his brother Seth (Erin), nieces Ellie & Abbie; sister Kimbra (David), niece Ava & nephew Mac; sister Genea (Ben), nephews Jayden & Jackson & niece Maddy; brother Ryan, niece Sydney & nephew Nate; brother Travis (CJ), nephew Cooper, as well as his Grandparents (Royce) & Grandma (Long). In addition, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and more friends & colleagues than could ever be counted.
Lance fought a warriors battle with stage 4 colorectal cancer for almost 4 years. He had so many valiant wins through his cancer journey, but ultimately came to rest with his Maker. He chose to be baptized near the end of his battle, and in true Lance fashion, he prayed to God and praised Him, thanking Him for his amazing life, never once feeling or wanting pity for his illness.
Many words come to mind describing Lance, but at the top of the list are these: Selfless, Genuine, Loyal, Authentic, Loving, and Hardworking. To know Lance is to love Lance. Meet him once & you have a new friend. Always up for some fun & quick to laugh at a joke. A lover of dogs, he was always willing to help and to rescue. We trust Lance is in the arms of Jesus, showing off his dance moves. As an avid Seahawks fan, we have no doubt he is actively recruiting new 12’s while shooting under par on the links of Heaven. Heaven gained an irreplaceable angel & we will forever miss him.
Lance & Jill would be eternally grateful if you would give donations in his name to the following charities:
