Leon W. Kemper, 81 of Scottsdale, passed away on November 29, 2010. Born in Canonsburg, PA, he graduated from Asbury University and ASU. He was a pastor, first president of fellowship of Christian Athletes, administrator at ASU and published author. Leon has been married for 60 years to his loving wife, June and is also survived by his children, Sandy Munchinsky of Phoenix and James of Tucson; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and sisters Carol Vogel and Eldama Kemper.
Services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 12:00 PM with visitation one hour prior to services at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Anyone wishing to make a contribution in Leon's name may contribute to Asbury University, 1 Macklem Dr., Wilmore, KY 40390
