God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. Part of us went with you the day God called you home. Lester F. Johns, Jr. of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on August 25, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Mary C. Johns; dear father of Tim (Gail) and Steve (Sonia) Johns. Dear grandfather of Levi Johns, Brittany Johns and the late Joshua Tucker Johns. Dear brother of Darlene Fae (Glenn) Wilkins. Our dear uncle, cousin and friend of many. Lester was a member of Local 359, Sheet Metal Workers, Graduate of Downey High School, Class of 1957, Downey, CA, attended Long Beach State, was fluent in Spanish, a member of the Scottsdale Jaycees, 1969 - 1972, and was the NHRA Drag Racing Crew Chief for his son Steve.
