Pat, your Mom has left a loving legacy. Although loss can be excruciatingly painful, your Mom has a beautifully decorated room in that mansion provided for those who acknowledge Christ as Lord and Savior. God bless!

Your mom was a very special friend to me.  We started playing Bunco together in July '99.  I am not sure how many years our group continued to meet monthly to eat, laugh, and just enjoy each other.  

At the time, I was a young mom (34ish) with four young daughters.  Your mom and the other ladies were mentors to me.   At the time our girls were 8, 3, and our twins were less than a year old.  They talked me through the many stages of parenting.  

I just loved the way your mom was non-judgmental and always honest, open and kind.  Linda Lou, as I called her, will always hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you, Pat, for letting me know.  I have fond memories of her from way back in my childhood.  One time I ran away from home and was on my way to live with Aunt Lindy... only got two blocks when I realized it was too far to walk  pushing my doll buggy with all my worldly possessions.  How lovely for her to depart so peacefully in her sleep.  My sympathy to you, Jimmy and Steve.

I read each entry and found myself saying "yes, yes, yes" to the comments others have made about Linda.  Your mother's legacy speaks for itself and what a wonderful legacy.  She did love her family and spoke of them with great love.  
Joe and I had several times with Linda and there was usually laughter and good times.  She was fun to be around, a woman of strength, and could hold her own with anyone. 

I am thankful that our life paths crossed.  In your time of grief may you be reminded of a wonderful memory and remember her smile, laughter and love of her family.  May your hearts be comforted in your time of loss. Please know that Joe and I will be thinking and remembering you in this difficult time.

It has been many, many years since I had a chance to see my Aunt Lindy, but I will never forget her twinkling eyes.  I don't remember ever seeing her without a radiant smile!  Surely she will be missed by her family and friends,

Grandma Lindy was so sweet and fun, when we were little girls she would come and visit us in Washington and she would give us her full attention the entire trip. After she had gone home we would find small little folded pieces of paper with special notes from Grandma hidden in all nooks and crannies of the house. She wrote them ahead of time and hid them well. It would take us several months to find all of them. She also taught me many card games and how to be silly. I will truly miss her.

Linda was such a dedicated Christian! Heaven is rejoicing! She had a sharp mind and loved to play all kind of games, just like Pat. And she usually would win!! I always admired her spirit and her love for her family. We will all miss her.

Her sense of humor was the best, so dry. I fell right in to it. She always spoke of her children and grandchildren in a loving manner. I enjoyed her company when she visited in Virginia. It is so wonderful to see Linda's photo. She was such a sweetheart whenever we saw her in La Costa, CA  when we lived near Pat and Joe. She was always so warm and loving.  I treasure those moments.

Linda Escobar was always "Lindy" to me.  I knew her my whole life and I am 77.  she was for many years my spiritual Mom.  The one I could share with things about Jesus and my life change through salvation. The things my parents no longer understood, but Lindy did.  I will miss the idea that I can call her when ever I want to and hear her sweet laugh when she heard my voice because she was delighted to hear from me.  My heart is overwhelmed 
with sadness because she is gone, but filled with Joy because I know I will see her again in heaven.  How can I stop the tears?  I love you Lindy Escobar, and I will miss you so much!  Bobbie Chambers
