Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on September 17, 1949, she and her parents relocated to Scottsdale in 1963. Marcia was a proud graduate of Coronado High School and Arizona State University where she played clarinet in the band and earned a Bachelor’s of Elementary Education. Her memory will forever be a blessing to her family, friends, and community who will continue to look to Marcia as a role-model of kindness, devotion, and love.
She is survived by her beloved children, Michelle (Mitchell) and Brian. Marcia gained two additional children, Todd Mitchell and Stacey Dault, on the days that she would later list as some of her most proud being Mother of the Bride and Groom at her daughter and son’s respective weddings. It was Michelle’s son, Devin, that bestowed Marcia with her most cherished title, grandmother. She also leaves behind many cousins and extended family.
Marcia was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 48 years, Robert “Bob” Dault, and parents, Julian and Marcella Brua. Their memory remained close to her heart through all her later life.
Marcia was an avid and accomplished bowler, earning induction into the Mesa Valley Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame for Superior Performance. Bowling was a hallmark of her life which was shared by her husband, and she was proudly at his side when he was inducted into the Mesa Hall of Fame for Meritorious Service. Her dedication was exemplified both on and off the lanes, as a competitor, employee, and volunteer. Marcia received national recognition for bowling in 30 consecutive WIBC/USBC Women’s Championship tournaments in addition to countless local and state tournaments. She was able to combine her passion with her profession, working more than 35 years at Brunswick Mesa Lanes/Bowlero Mesa and Bowlero Kyrene. This dedication was only surpassed by the time she freely given to serving 47 years on the local board including multiple terms as President, numerus appointments as a delegate to state and national conventions, and countless hours coordinating junior and adult tournaments. Marcia has truly left an indelible mark on the bowling community and was rightfully honored in 2023 with the President’s Award from the Arizona State USBC.
A celebration of life will be held at Green Acres Mortuary on June 19, 2025, at 10:30 AM.
