Gladys was born May 21, 1920 in Red Oak, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Dick Owens, on July 13, 1940 and they spent many happy years in Phoenix together. Gladys is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dick, her daughter Barbara, and grandson Reese. She is survived by her daughter Peggy Gallego, sons-in-law Charles Gallego and Larry Wright, 9 grandchildren and 7 of their spouses, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren, Gladys loved her family and loved to cook for them. She was a longtime member of Palmcroft Baptist Church. A Graveside Service will be held at 9:30 AM, Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Green Acres Garden of Peace, 401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ . In lieu of flowers the donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
