Marva Ann Meidinger, 75, passed away on July 9, 2018 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Marva was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Anna and Verl Banks. While working food service at a bowling alley in Utah, Marva met her future husband Donald. Donald and Marva married on December 9, 1961 in Elko, Nevada. She later worked at the Orangedale Grade School Cafeteria. Her joy came from spoiling 16 grandchildren and crocheting blankets for them. She was an accomplished Scrabble player, loved Elvis, shopping, karaoke and leopards. She was devoted to her family and to God. Marva attended the Church of God. Her hope rested in the kingdom of God.
Marva is predeceased by her mother and father; beloved husband, Donald Meidinger; and granddaughter, Jennifer Suzanne Bogdanchik. She is survived by her children, Suzanne (Mark David) Bogdanchik of Pasadena, CA, Beth Christian of Scottsdale, AZ, David (Laura) Meidinger of Payson, AZ, Deborah (David) Pakiser of Mesa, AZ, and Becky (Bryan) Stanley of Glendale, AZ; siblings, Gordon Banks, Greg Banks, and Shannon Banks; 16 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
A visitation, in Marva’s honor, will be held at Green Acres Chapel of Light (401 N Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ) on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 5:30pm at Temple Emanuel in Tempe (5801 S Rural Rd. Tempe, AZ). Graveside services will be at a later date and time at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (23029 N Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ).
