Mildred Betty McCollum

Millie was born at home in Detroit, Michigan on November 4, 1929. On November 2, 1947 she was married to the love of her life, William Guy McCollum. Millie was the Office Manager for McCollum Construction prior to her and Bill moving to Arizona in 1969. After Bill’s passing in 1988, Millie started a career in retail sales and retired from Macy’s in 2011. She was a member of Willowbrook Methodist Church and had a strong passion for dogs, shoes, shopping and traveling.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband William Guy McCollum (1988), and brother James H Buchanan (2015). She is survived by sons Ross McCollum (Jan), Dale McCollum (Julie), daughter of the heart Charlotte Manni (Al), grandchildren Lisa Noblet (Steve), Guy McCollum, Stacey Warren (Mike), and Scott McCollum (Linda), also nine (9) great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life service for Millie will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Willowbrook United Methodist Church (19390 N 99th Avenue, Sun City, Arizona 85373). A reception follows in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Kris Krafters group at Willowbrook Methodist Church are greatly appreciated. A private interment at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery will be held on March 10, 2020.
