Nicholas was born in Scottsdale, AZ to parents Penny Rogers Vance and Steven Novin.
Nicholas was our fun-loving free-spirited son. He was the most generous, sweetest, caring soul who walked the planet. Nick loved people and touched many lives during his brief time here on earth. He loved to learn and enjoyed an open minded exchange of ideas, he was forever curious. Nick loved music having produced and written a number of his own songs. Nick also loved playing hockey and excelled at hockey at a very young age. He was a top player in his region and traveled near and far to play the sport he loved. He played junior hockey in North Carolina and in Canada. He recently returned to his passion for the sport and connected with some old teammates on two men's league teams at the time of his passing.
He cherished his family, especially his brothers, his mother Penny and his father Steve and he struggled mightily with the sudden passing of his father in 2015.
Nick, above all things, was a lover; sometimes his heart was too big for his own good. A fiercely loyal friend he leaves behind many from numerous hockey teams and the various workplaces over the years. Nick was recently discussing what success meant and he concluded that it meant helping anyone on their journey to breathe a bit easier. He was working on several entrepreneur ideas and it was all geared towards helping others.
Nick’s smile and such immense caring soul made everyone around him breathe easier! Well done beautiful son. You will live in our hearts forever until we meet again! Fly High Son....We will carry on your Legacy.
