

Pepito Mabalot Almero, 98, of Scottsdale, AZ, died on April 21, 2026. He was born in Umingan, Pangasinan, Philippines on May 24, 1927. He was the only child of the late Leonardo Carino Almero and Eugenia Ablao Mabalot. He was preceded in death by his son, Jan Patrick. He is survived by: his wife, Angeles Pineda of Scottsdale, AZ; his daughters and sons-in-law Maria Cecilia and Arturo, Maria Cristina and Fernando; his sons and daughters-in-law Eric Johann and Gloria, Peter Alan and Angelica; his son Mark David; his grandson Anthony James (Allison); his grandsons James Michael, Meo Andrei and Aeomer Alayne; and his great granddaughter Beckett Elise.
Pepito served in the Philippine National Defense Forces during WWII as a recognized guerilla and with the rank of SSGT.
He received training from FEATI (Far Eastern School of Aeronautics) in Airline Maintenance Engineering and graduated from the University of Sto. Tomas where he received a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1953.
Pete met the love of his life, Angie, while working in the National Economic Council in 1957. They were married on December 6, 1959.
He had a career working for Procter & Gamble Philippine Manufacturing Company where he started as a Finance Management Trainee in 1958. He retired as the Regional Audit Manager for Procter & Gamble Asia/ Pacific in 1992.
He served as a lay minister in the Catholic Church under the Legion of Mary. He also underwent training required by the Archdiocese of Manila and was duly installed as a Special Minister of the Eucharist. He was a wide reader and can converse on a wide variety of subjects. Though an introvert, he loved to sing and sang in the wedding of his son Peter and Angela in 2003.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale, AZ. Comital and interment will follow immediately after. Deacon Roy will be the main celebrant. Visitation will be immediately prior to the Funeral Service from 9 to 10 am.
