Randy Coffin

Randy was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and faithful follower of Christ. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Carol; his mother, Pauline; his children, Ryan (wife Rachel) and Megan (husband Tim); his cherished grandchildren, Cooper, Adalyn, Riley, and Reese; his two sisters, Pam and Terri; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, James, and his brother, Bob.

Randy's professional journey began as a bench jeweler in 1975, and in 1984 he co-founded Coffin & Trout Fine Jewellers. Under his leadership, the company became one of Arizona's premier jewelers, known for its craftsmanship, innovation, and integrity. Randy believed in treating everyone with respect and creating jewelry that would be treasured for generations.

He was a passionate supporter of ASU, the Phoenix Suns, and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Randy also served on the board of the Tempe Diablos, dedicating time and resources to support local youth, education, and charitable causes.

Randy’s love for his family was the center of his life. He took great pride in watching Ryan play baseball and Megan play volleyball, and he deeply cherished his role as “Papa” to his four grandchildren. He and Carol created countless memories through travel, time at their Pinetop cabin, and simply being together.

An avid car enthusiast, Randy led a long-standing car show that brought fellow lovers of automobiles together. He enjoyed fly fishing, golfing, great food, and card games—though his family lovingly questioned his claims of card-playing mastery.

Randy was known for his humor, warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith. His joy was contagious, and his legacy lives on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Randy’s life on May 17th at 11a.m. at Crossroads Nazarene Church.
