Raymond Williams, Phoenix native and long time educator in the Scottsdale Unified School district died at age 90, November 29. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eunice Williams, sons Alan, Daniel, and Steven and grandchildren, Julie, Matthew, Miriam, Kurtis and Colin. Ray graduated from Phoenix Union High School, Tempe Teacher’s college and served in the Army Air corps as a pilot. After his army service he began his 36 year career with the Scottsdale schools in 1946 as a 6th grade teacher. Ray was principal of Tavan Elementary school from 1955 unit1982. He retired in 1982 to pursue his passion of bass fishing. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 11, 1:00 p.m. at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257.
