Renee Nadler, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family at the age of 89. Her absence will leave our world a little less joyful and she will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents, E.C. and Yetta Shumer, as well as her beloved husband of 49 years, Bob. She is survived by her three children, Cathy Nadler, Nancy Nadler, Wendy Nadler and son-in-law Steve Schneider. Renee was devoted to and will be missed greatly by her two grandchildren, Sarah Ehrman (Corey Gloden) and Marty Schneider (Val).
Renee was born in Detroit and attended the University of Michigan. She was a Wolverine supporter all her life. She met the love of her life Robert (Bob) Nadler while he was visiting a friend and they were married on November 18, 1948. They made their home initially on Long Island and then upstate in Kingston, New York. In 1963, the adventure bug got them and they moved to Phoenix so Bob could fly airplanes. Renee was always a loving partner, supporting Bob in all his pursuits. They loved to travel together and take cruises, especially in the Caribbean. They traveled around the US in an RV as they went to Indian Art Shows to support their gallery, Nadler’s Indian Arts. They cherished all the people they met and the experiences they had along the way.
Renee will be remembered for her loving nature and wicked sense of humor. A gathering was always more fun when Renee was part of it. She also loved college football and the friendly rivalry she had with Corey who was cheering on her rival, Michigan State.
Renee’s family would like to thank Crystal and all the wonderful people at Sage Hospice, in particular Nurse Thomas and CNA Carol; as well as Mary at ALTC. A special note of thanks and gratitude goes to Rita Keel who was her devoted caregiver since January.
