

Richard Andrew “Dick” Rostas, 85, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on March 20, 2016. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 28, 1930. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Andrew Rostas, and his loving wife of 55 years Dolores. He is survived by sons Ron (Kathy) and Robert (Irene), grandchildren Ron, Ryan (Shelby), and Sara, great grandchildren Jack and Emily, sister Florence Schucker of Willowick, Ohio, and niece Kim Hall of Burton, Ohio. Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. His professional career was as an electrician. He was a 60 year member of the Cleveland International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 38. He and Dolores retired to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1978, where they enjoyed the warm Arizona weather, and regular trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin. Richard was a handsome and charming man, with a gleaming smile and a kind heart. He possessed an exemplary work ethic, and could build or fix anything. He took pride in ensuring that whatever he did was done right. He was passionate about politics and finance, and loved to listen to the radio. Richard was a loving husband and father who served as provider, protector, caregiver and advisor to his family and friends. He will be dearly missed. A private burial service will be held at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ.
