

Robert Raymond Zorn, 75, of Arizona City, AZ passed away on December 19, 2015. He was born to Raymond and Ann Zorn on July 25, 1940 in Jamaica Long Island, NY. Bob was a very motivated man who excelled in three different careers before retiring in 2007. He worked at Chevrolet beginning as a car jockey in 1958 and progressed up to Service Manager, leaving in 1964. Bob then made the leap into the Department of Corrections from 1966-1985. He then followed his instincts and began a 22 year career in hospitality, working at Lake Powell, UT from 1985-2001 and then at Lake Mead, NV from 2001-2007. In addition to being a beloved member of his family, Bob enjoyed two hobbies that he was passionate about. Learning construction home building and carpentry from his father, he enjoyed wood-working and was even contracted to construct pieces for other people. His other passion was music. Bob had a wide and varied musical taste and began playing drums during High School. He played in bands, and passed on the love for the instrument to his son, Wade. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Wade Aaron Zorn. Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Linda; son Sean Andre (Karen M.) Zorn, of Casa Grande, AZ; daughter Tara Elyse Dye of Escondido, CA; sister Karen L. Miller of Port St. Lucie, FL; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; seven nieces; and nine nephews . Services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85257. A visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 from 7-9 pm and a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
